"I wanted to tell you how happy it made me last Thursday at the PPT. I felt so proud at the way (my son) E handled himself and how maturely he spoke and behaved. This has been a long time coming. E has really come a long way in the last year. He is so pleasant in general...at home he is helpful with little attitude and follows the rules 99% of the time. That's pretty good for 16. I feel that he must be better behaved in school as well or the option of going back to the high school would not have been an option. With that being said, I want to thank ( you) who have so patiently worked so hard with E and who all support me through all the difficult times."

"Dr. Abbott: for whatever its worth, man you are good. I can't actually imagine what transpired between you and my son, but his mood really does seem to be lighter. I also believe that not only did he not have a problem with going to see you, I actually think he looked forward to it. This totally blows my mind. He seems to be able to relate to you as a positive, level headed, low key and compassionate male figure that's so much what he needs. He lost that when he was 17 and that in itself caused him who was so emotionally fragile to begin with, to slide down to a terrible, awful place".
"Hi Scott, It's been a very long time. I wanted to let you know that C is doing well (and I'm knocking wood as I type this!). She's in her second year at University as a social work major and is very involved in her sorority. Her relationship with her dad is so much better - in fact tonight on his way home they had a long conversation about the election which she has been very fired up about. We are incredibly thankful and proud of her and wanted to let you know since you were a big part in getting her to this point. I hope all is well with you".
